Litigation Associate Attorney

Wilson Elser's New Orleans’ office is currently seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney. 

This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with General Commercial Litigation, Employment Law and Maritime Law litigation experience who are interested in joining a dynamic team as part of a national law firm.

The Position


  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Must be admitted to practice in Louisiana
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Maritime law, General Commercial Litigation and Employment Law Litigation experience
  • Deposition and courtroom experience
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Superior written and oral communication skills


  • Manage a litigation caseload from inception to completion either independently or under the supervision of other attorneys
  • Conduct excellent legal research and provide thoughtful written analyses of legal questions
  • Draft motions and briefs with minimal supervision
  • Work closely with other attorneys to provide recommendations for resolving legal issues
  • Communicate with clients and provide detailed reports on case status
  • Handle depositions and court appearances
