Defense Litigation Associate
Wilson Elser’s Washington, D.C. office is currently seeking to hire an Associate Attorney to assist in defending claims, lawsuits and administrative complaints against businesses and professionals. The Position
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in Washington, D.C; Maryland or Virginia admission also preferred
- 3+ years of defense litigation experience
- Superior analytical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Deposition and motion experience preferred
- Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment
- Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
- Collaborate with other attorneys and partners on defense of cases
- Communicate with clients at each stage of litigation
- Regularly handle court appearances, written discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Prepare cases for trial

The annualized salary range for this position is $115,000 to $160,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
