Business Development Administrator

Wilson Elser is currently seeking a Business Development Administrator . This role offers remote flexibility in a state in which we have an office in the EST time zone or onsite in White Plains or New York City. 

The Business Development Administrator will support a range of client development activities and new business pursuits at the firm. The Administrator will leverage his or her project management skills to guide a series of complex initiatives and programs to improve firm performance and ensure attorneys receive high-quality, timely service in response to requests. Vital to this role is the ability to think critically and adapt to the firm’s unique needs. The Administrator will understand how to prioritize and have the ability to complete tasks under time pressure when necessary. He or she must be able to multitask and pivot among different tasks on a routine basis. He or she also must be a good collaborator, as most tasks will require coordination with firm attorneys, personnel in other firm departments, and/or other members of the Business Development and Marketing Department.

The Position

Qualifications
  • Assisting with large account team program by scheduling meetings, recording meeting minutes, capturing and tracking action items, drafting internal communications, posting content to dedicated intranet sites, and other related tasks.
  • Monitoring and reporting on participation in attorney Business Development training program.
  • Maintaining/managing Business Development project tracker, including results follow-up, tracking and reporting.
  • Maintaining representative matter database, including careful entry and stewardship of related data.
  • Logging business lead information in Hubspot CRM database and assisting with related reporting.
  • Supporting development of responses to client Requests for Proposals/Requests for Information as well as custom pitches and brochures.
  • Coordinating with other Business Development and Marketing team members and personnel from other firm departments as needed to produce required deliverables.
  • Upholding the firm’s brand standards to ensure a strong brand presence for all marketing deliverables.
  • Maintaining bank of commonly used proposal content.
  • Assisting with client research, market/industry research and/or practice team initiatives.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to take initiative with assertiveness and confidence.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment/decision making when necessary.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and act accordingly.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Flexible to manage demands outside of traditional business hours.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 Years Related Work Experience, preferably in a professional service or corporate setting.
  • Able to organize, compare, combine and process large data sets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Good time management skills and confidence working in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, competent follow-through skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, in addition to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

The annualized salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
