Chelsea Jacobi focuses her practice on the defense of medical malpractice and nursing home negligence claims. Her clients include physicians, hospitals, and long-term care facilities.
Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Chelsea worked for more than five years as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney's Office. As a felony prosecutor in the Special Victims Bureau, Chelsea conducted investigations and prosecuted cases involving domestic violence, sexual abuse, and severe physical injury or death involving children. She brought indictments in dozens of cases, handled complex hearings, and tried numerous cases to verdict.
During law school, Chelsea interned for the Honorable Judge J. Michael Ryan of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. In addition, she gained substantial knowledge and insight into criminal law matters as a legal intern at various organizations, including the Department of Justice: Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section; the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia: Fraud and Public Corruption Section; the Office of the Inspector General for Prince George's County in Maryland; and the Kings County District Attorney's Office, in the Domestic Violence Bureau. Chelsea also worked as a research assistant for the Project on Addressing Prison Rape.
