Christian Balodis represents individuals and businesses in all aspects of civil litigation. His practice focuses on the defense of claims involving complex litigation in various areas, including premises liability, personal injury, New York Labor Law disputes and insurance defense.
Before joining Wilson Elser, Christian was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Mary V. Rosado in the New York State Supreme Court, First Judicial District, New York County, where he conducted research and drafted documents and memoranda on a wide range of legal topics. Previously, Christian gained valuable experience at a New York firm where his concentration was landlord-tenant litigation and commercial leasing.
During law school, Christian was a legal extern at a Brooklyn volunteer lawyers organization, where he represented individuals in consumer credit disputes in New York City Civil Court. In addition, he was an intern at a Greenwich, Connecticut firm, where he conducted legal research on estate planning and taxation matters and prepared probate and administrative documents.
