People: Brian H. Myers and David M. Ross

David Ross (Partner-Washington, DC) and Brian Myers (Of Counsel-Washington, DC) will present “Understanding the Basics of a Class Action” on April 7, 2025, a Class Action Series webinar that will cover what a class action is in civil litigation, explain how these cases differ from a traditional individual litigant lawsuit, and offer a baseline understanding of these types of actions. The webinar will discuss the procedural rules that create class actions, how these rules operate, and what events often prompt the filing of a class action instead of a traditional lawsuit. David and Brian will further discuss unique concepts in class action litigation, including communications with putative class members, identifying class members, and the heightened ascertainability issues that courts may confront.
