Stuart Miller (Partner-New York, NY and Orlando, FL) will join a panel titled “Active Assailant Risk Workshop” at RIMS Risk World to be held May 5–8, 2024, in San Diego, California. Active assailant incidents are becoming more and more common and place a unique burden on risk professionals. A panel of distinguished experts from the technology, legal, insurance and crisis response sectors will explore the current state of active assailant risk and discuss how to best prepare for, mitigate and respond to one of today’s most horrific threats. Attendees will follow two case studies to discover what went right, what went horribly wrong and what could have been done better. They will gain tools that enable them to better protect people, organizations and clients while understanding the growing role and impact of insurance on active assailant risks. This workshop will seek audience feedback and input.
