Rich Reiter (Partner-White Plains) will serve as panel moderator for “Insuring Ransomware” at the 2020 PLUS Cyber Symposium to be held February 25−26, 2020, in New York City. As ransomware demands grow in frequency and magnitude, insureds are seeking protection from these risks. But should insurers be paying these claims? Is it ethical to help criminals make ransomware a viable business model?  This session will explore the various issues associated with insuring ransomware and look for an answer to the question, should insurance policies cover this risk?
