Cynthia Tannar represents businesses and individuals in all aspects of civil defense litigation. Her practice includes commercial litigation, general liability, transportation, product liability, professional liability, and tort defense.
Before joining Wilson Elser, Cynthia worked for the Maricopa County Office of the Legal Advocate, where she defended individuals in felony-level litigation from arraignment to jury trial and sentencing. Cynthia has represented hundreds of criminal defendants in matters from drug possession and trespass to fraud, serious violent offenses, and organized crime-related matters. Prior to that, Cynthia worked for a boutique law firm in Scottsdale, representing clients in civil traffic-related offenses and criminal misdemeanors, including individuals with commercial driver’s licenses, helping them navigate the complexities of federal and state regulations.
Before attending law school, Cynthia worked as an accountant. She has a breadth of business experience related to business transactions, federal reporting regulations, pay and employment issues, and commercial matters.
