Danielle Perez

Danielle Perez focuses her practice on general liability defense, automobile negligence, and insurance coverage litigation. She represents major insurance carriers, government entities, and private companies in matters involving bodily injury, premises liability, construction defects, complex subrogation recovery, and first- and third-party property claims.

Before joining Wilson Elser, Danielle practiced at a full-service Florida law firm, where she handled all phases of civil litigation, including developing defense strategies, managing complex discovery, preparing and arguing dispositive motions, and securing favorable client outcomes, including post-suit fee and cost recovery. She also developed and implemented a firmwide procedural manual for the management of a major corporate client account.

Earlier in her career, Danielle represented plaintiffs in first- and third-party property insurance disputes, including claims on behalf of individuals and homeowners’ associations involving wind, water, hurricane, and mold damage. That experience provides her with a well-rounded perspective on claim evaluation, litigation strategy, and dispute resolution.

During law school, Danielle served as a judicial intern to the Honorable William Altfield of Florida’s Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court. She also worked as a research assistant at the St. Thomas University Center for Pandemic, Disaster and Quarantine Research, where she translated research findings into policy recommendations and guidelines compliant with state and federal law. As a member of the school’s mock trial team, she received multiple Best Advocate awards.

Danielle is also active in pro bono matters involving homeowners’ association disputes.
