DeAnne (Dee Dee) Claire first fell in love with the courtroom while competing in mock trial in law school. Like a duck to water, she took to litigation almost nearly effortlessly, persuading juries, convincing judges, and charming adversaries. Dee Dee further honed her trial skills during her tenure with the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel for the State Bar of Texas, designed to be the bar’s “law office.” A fortuitous encounter (and short but beloved stint) with a boutique law firm specializing in the defense of insurance claims – from trucking accidents to premises liability – led to her love of insurance defense litigation.
In addition to insurance defense, Dee Dee also has experience with veterinary malpractice cases, lawyer discipline representation, and simple estate planning.
Areas of Focus
Veterinary Malpractice
Dee Dee has successfully handled veterinary malpractice cases brought against licensed veterinarians for alleged harm to animals in their care, from household pets to farm animals. These matters are filed with the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, with the vets represented through their errors and omissions carriers.
