Wendy Testa (Partner-Philadelphia, PA) and John Podesta (Partner-San Francisco, CA) present “Blurred Lines in Construction Claims: Smart Contracting and Minding the Gap” at The Institutes, CPCU Society, on June 12, 2025. The exposures that design professionals and contractors face have evolved due to alternative project delivery systems, clients’ demands for added value, expansion of their respective roles on a project, and significant pressures related to project scheduling and costs. Construction professionals and insurers must become risk savvy in negotiating and drafting specialized contracts and procuring coverage for projects, and in handling claims and trying to transfer risk to others. Wendy and John will address these issues and provide key tools to identify and manage potential risk.
