Jonathan Meer (Partner-New York, NY) will be joined by Laura J. Martella, Assistant Attorney General to present a one-hour Wilson Elser D&O Series webinar, “Are D&Os Concerned About My Privacy?” on October 10, 2024. Each year, there are more regulations at the local, state, federal and international levels regarding the importance of protecting privacy, and 2024 has been no exception. The privacy laws already in place can be the basis for potential liability, and for directors and officers (D&Os), knowledge of these laws and protection of customer data are paramount. This presentation will address the developments in these regulations, litigations that have transpired and some suggested best practices going forward. Jonathan and Laura will address some of the issues that insurance adjusters and underwriters are facing when writing D&O policies and adjusting claims related to D&O exposure on privacy concerns.
