Wilson Elser’s recently relocated state-of-the-art San Francisco office hosted prominent members of the Toxic Tort Bar for the annual Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California (ADCNC) Toxic Tort Conference on Friday, June 2, 2023. The all-day event included the Honorable Richard Seabolt (Alameda County), the Honorable Jo-Lynne Lee (Alameda County), Ms. Pang Ly (San Francisco County settlement manager), various defense experts and consultants, and several members of the local defense and plaintiffs bars. Topics included emerging trial strategies, the latest scientific developments regarding talc, new appellate case law and the judges’ perspectives from the bench. Yakov Wiegmann (Of Counsel-San Francisco) co-chaired the event with Regional Managing Partner Nick Martin. Yakov serves on the Toxic Tort Committee of the ADCNC, where he is a member of the Board of Directors. Nick serves as co-chair of the firm’s national Toxic Tort Practice. The Conference has been hosted annually for the past two years by the San Francisco Toxic Tort Practice Team, which now includes about 25 attorneys, paralegals and staff.
