Los Angeles partners Linda Hoshide and Shannon Santos presented the first of two webinars for the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) on September 5, 2023. Titled “California Bad Faith,” topics included theories of liability against insurers; the duty of good faith and fair dealing; differences between first- and third-party claims; reservation of rights and denial letters; excess insurance implications; time limit demands; and tips to avoid bad faith liability. The second webinar will deal with “California Fair Claim Settlement Practices” on November 7, 2023.
