Lori Semlies (Partner-White Plains, NY) will join a panel on “COVID-19 MPL Claims: Tidal Wave or Trickle?” at the 2021 PLUS Healthcare & MedPL Symposium to be held May 11–12, 2021, in a virtual format. The session will review and analyze actual and potential MPL claims related to COVID-19 as well as the laws enacted providing immunity for these types of claims at the federal and state levels and challenges to those laws or executive orders. Lori and her fellow presenters will explore actual and potential claims against nursing homes and hospitals and touch on claims against miscellaneous health care facilities and physicians. The session offers CE/CLE credit.
