Richard W. Boone Jr. (Partner-New York, NY) will present “Emerging Trends in Cyber Coverage” at the Brokers & Reinsurance Markets Association’s BRMA Education Summit to be held in Princeton, New Jersey, April 23–24, 2024. In little more than a decade, insurance coverage for cyber risk has evolved from an adjunct product to a core coverage for nearly every business type. The magnitude and nature of the cyber risks those businesses face, and costs and types of the coverage available for it, have similarly expanded. This program highlights the ever-evolving world of cyber-risk and the impact of growing cyber regulation on insurers and reinsurers. Richard also will discuss the evolution of cyber policies to meet the changing risk, the current trends in first- and third-party coverage, the changing tactics employed by threat actors and the growing challenge of disputes related to business interruption loss.
