Ian Stewart (Partner-Los Angeles) will join a panel of experts for a complimentary one-hour webinar sponsored by the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) on August 20, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. EDT. “Enforcing Cannabis-Related Contracts in Federal Court” will address a ruling by a federal judge in Nevada that calls into question the ability to enforce cannabis-related contracts in federal courts. Ian and the other panelists will examine how this case compares with other federal and state cases on this question and what impact these cases may have on how cannabis deal-making gets done as well as best practices to mitigate the risk of nonenforcement.
