Mike Stoberski (Of Counsel-Las Vegas, NV) and his wife, Holly, a judicial candidate for Las Vegas Justice of the Peace, Department 4, attended the Filipiniana Gala and Awards night for the Ilocano American Association of Nevada (IAAN), held at the Gold Coast Hotel in Las Vegas on August 31, 2024. Numerous judges, including the President of the IIAN and mayoral candidates were in attendance. The event celebrated the importance of unity and community service, as well as the rich heritage of the Filipino culture. Holly won an award for best Contemporary Terno (an ensemble that consists of matching colors/patterns) and Mike for best Traditional Barong (a Filipino men's outfit made from hand-sewn pineapple fiber). Mike is a member of Wilson Elser’s Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) employee resource group.
