Alan Friedberg (Senior Counsel-White Plains, NY), President of the Bronx County Bar Association Endowment, participated in a ceremony to donate $2,500 to the American Red Cross, Bronx Division to assist the victims of a recent fire. Participating in the February 3, 2025, presentation was Bronx County Bar Association President Sergio Valverde, Bronx Bar Community Affairs Director Shantelle Castro Esq., and Ms. Rahel Semegen representing the Regional Philanthropy Office of the American Red Cross.

The Bronx County Bar Association Endowment is the philanthropic arm of the Bronx County Bar Association, which provides needed assistance to the Bronx community as well as educational assistance to Bronx students and community support. This year, the Endowment will provide $30,000 in scholarships to Bronx students and support the 26th year of the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Program for 7th and 8th graders. Alan also serves as Cochair of the Endowment Scholarship Committee and Treasurer of the Mock Trial Program.
