Lori Semlies (Partner-White Plains) will join a panel for the CLE seminar, “Health Care Dispute Resolution: Navigating a Highly Regulated Industry,” sponsored by the New York State Bar Association, Dispute Resolution Section on May 15, 2019, in Uniondale, New York. The panel will examine current trends and circumstances in the health care dispute resolution setting, with a special focus on the MLMIC demutualization and mandatory arbitration clauses, and a further focus on the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Kindred v. Clark. The panel also will discuss the need for competence among neutrals and advocates dealing with the complicated health care regulatory scheme in a dispute resolution context.
