Jonathan Meer (Partner-New York, NY) will present a Brokers & Reinsurance Markets Association (BRMA) Education Series webinar, “How Will the Growth of ESG Impact Social Inflation?” on March 23, 2022. The rise in litigations against companies and their directors and officers is impacting environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, and there is a concern on how this may contribute to social inflation (the increase in insured losses in liability lines attributable to adverse legislative, judicial, social, economic and technical developments). Jonathan will address examples of both social inflation and ESG in the legal landscape today and provide thoughts on what insurers and reinsurers might expect in 2022 and beyond.
