Ian’s topic, “Medical Marijuana & Professional Liability,” will provide a better understanding of medicinal marijuana and associated professional liability risks, including issues involving patient access and qualifying conditions, medical uses and potential adverse effects of THC and CBD, patient safety, quality control, malpractice risks and the developing standard of care. Considerations for use of medical marijuana in a hospital setting and how medical facilities are responding to this new paradigm will also be discussed.
