Bruno W. Katz (Partner-San Diego) will speak on June 14, 2023, at the HospitalityLawyer.com® Quarterly Virtual Seminar on Labor & Employment Challenges in the Hotel & Restaurant Industries. Bruno will present “Survey on California Laws Impacting Hospitality,” a brief survey of the key laws and requirements in California that make it one of the most difficult states from an employment standpoint. He will focus on the ever-increasing rules and regulations in California and their impact on California hospitality companies. Topics include the effect of the Private Attorney General's Act on liability, use of arbitration agreements, enhanced protections for employees as to leave and paid sick pay, emergencies and reproductive rights. Bruno will provide his unique perspective gleaned from practicing for more than 20 years in labor and employment law in California, as well as tips to help prevent litigation.
