Wilson Elser is proud to have sponsored and been represented at the LGBT Bar NY Foundation Annual Gala, held May 20, 2025, at the iconic Hall des Lumières in Lower Manhattan. The event supports the organization’s charitable and educational initiatives. Firm representatives Nathan Horst (Partner-New York, NY) and Gene Stith (Of Counsel-Long Island, NY) attended on behalf of the firm, underscoring Wilson Elser’s continued commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the legal profession.

The LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York (LGBT Bar NY) is a leading voluntary professional organization dedicated to advancing the rights and representation of LGBTQ+ legal professionals, promoting equal access to justice, and serving the broader community through impactful pro bono initiatives. This year’s Gala raised funds for the LGBT Bar NY Foundation and its many vital programs, and celebrated individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the LGBTQ+ community. Honorees included Judge Adam Silvera, Deputy Chief Administrative Judge of the New York City Courts, and ACLU attorney Chase Strangio. Among the other distinguished attendees were the Honorable Bianka Perez of the Appellate Division, First Department, and the Honorable Javier E. Vargas of the New York State Court of Claims.

Nathan and Gene expressed gratitude for the firm’s sponsorship and noted the warm welcome they received at the event: “It was an honor to represent Wilson Elser and be part of such a meaningful evening. Our presence alongside other leading law firms and legal professionals highlighted the firm’s dedication to supporting LGBTQ+ equity in the legal field.”
