Folashade Akinola represents established businesses and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation. Her practice focuses on the defense of general liability matters with an emphasis on product liability and employment law claims. In the product liability area, her experience includes managing warranty claims for a prominent international automaker.

Before joining Wilson Elser, Folashade worked at an employment law firm representing California workers. She litigated various wage-and-hour disputes under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), and the plaintiff-side expertise she gained provides her with valuable insight into planning effective defense strategies. 

During law school, Folashade honed her writing skills as a judicial extern for the Honorable Karen L. Stevenson in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, where she edited a guide on civil rights law. She was a legal intern at Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California and an extern at a firm specializing in personal injury matters and claims related to civil rights and employment disputes. Folashade also served as a law clerk at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, fostering her passion for ensuring everyone can access the justice system.
