Bruno Katz (Partner-San Diego) and Steve Joffe (Partner-Los Angeles) will present “Reopening Your Restaurant and Returning to Work,” a webinar sponsored by the California Restaurant Association and its Legal Center partner Wilson Elser, on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at 2:00–3:00 p.m. PDT. Bruno and Steve will discuss best practices for recalling or releasing employees, including lawful criteria for the decision-making process, communications to employees, employer testing for COVID-19 and increased scrutiny of employee health, ADA and discrimination concerns in the COVID-19 era, and the complexities involving employees who are fearful to return to work. They also will explore Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) guidance and concerns when not bringing your workforce back to the pre-COVID-19 staffing counts. Bruno and Steve also will answer questions from the audience.
