John Podesta (Partner-San Francisco, CA), Tanya Austin (Of Counsel-Boston, MA) and Lisa Cronin (Of Counsel-Portland, OR) will present “Additional Insured Tenders Best Practices and How to Address the Unique Problems They Create,” a Wilson Elser Forum Insurance Coverage Best Practices series webinar, on October 21, 2025. Tenders by parties claiming to be additional insureds on another party’s policy are a common occurrence, and can create exposure to bad faith if they aren’t handled properly. Every tender must be analyzed to determine if the tendering party is, in fact, an additional insured entitled to coverage for a particular lawsuit. John, Lisa, and Tanya will cover the best practice for approaching an additional insured tender, and describe specific scenarios that can create extra-contractual exposure. The target audience for this presentation is lawyers and claims professionals with general knowledge of additional insured coverage who are looking to enhance their understanding and sharpen their skills, whether they are pursuing additional insured coverage or responding to tenders by others.
