Marisa A. Trasatti (Partner-Baltimore) will join a panel discussion titled “Human Trafficking: The Quiet Risk” at the RIMS 2019 Annual Conference & Exhibition, to be held April 28–May 1, 2019, in Boston, Massachusetts. According to Marisa, “Combatting human trafficking − the third and quickly becoming the second fastest growing criminal enterprise in this country − requires a multidimensional approach that includes educating the general public on how to spot victims of this horrific practice. Law enforcement, insurers, health care providers, legislators at all levels, the legal profession and businesses are uniting to assist in this fight, which includes helping victims post-exploitation, as well as arming the business community with an awareness to thwart human trafficking at their establishments.”
