Daniel Tranen (Partner-St. Louis, MO) will present “Insurance Impacts of the Dobbs Supreme Court Decision” at the CPCU Society’s In2Risk23, to be held October 5-7, 2023, in Washington, D.C. Dan will discuss the impact on the insurance industry of the recent Dobbs Supreme Court case that overturned Roe v. Wade. There are numerous potential impacts to insureds – from medical insurance to corporate fiduciary liability to employee benefits. Some insurance companies are already responding to these issues with new products and endorsements. Dan will conduct a thought experiment to see how Dobbs will impact insureds and what will be (or should be) the insurance industry's response.
