Capital Theatre, Portchester, NY
Jacqueline Hattar (Partner-White Plains, NY) will co-host the Pace Women's Justice Center (PWJC) Raising the Bar Benefit Concert on November 3, 2023, at the Capital Theatre in Portchester, NY. The fundraiser's title, Raising the Bar Benefit Concert, is a nod to PWJC's commitment to increasing access to justice by providing free legal services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The funds raised will allow the PWJC to continue helping clients on their journeys toward empowerment and healing.
The concert will feature a performance by the Grammy-winning duo Indigo Girls, considered among history's most successful folk duos. Jackie is a long-time Advisory Board member of the PWJC and received the Center's Making A Difference Award in 2018.
The PWJC is a self-funded, nonprofit legal center housed in the Elisabeth Haub School of Law and falls under Pace University's 501(c)(3) status. Each year, PWJC provides free legal services to over 3,500 victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse. The Center also conducts or participates in over 140 training and outreach events. Serving Westchester and Putnam Counties, PWJC's mission is to pursue justice for victims and prevent abuse by offering quality legal services, community partnerships, education, and awareness.
