Jacqueline Hattar (Partner-White Plains, NY) and Nikolette Nrekaj (Law Graduate-White Plains, NY) participated as guest readers in the annual Read Across America Day celebration at the Eugenio de Maria Hostos MicroSociety School in Yonkers, New York, on March 1, 2024. Read Across America commemorates Dr. Seuss’s birthday in schools across the country. Jackie has served as the liaison between the Westchester Women’s Bar Association (WWBA) and Read Across America Day in the Yonkers Public Schools since 2007, and has helped to coordinate this year’s event on behalf of the WWBA. She is a long-time WWBA Board member and currently a State Director for the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, the parent organization of the WWBA. Nikolette is a new WWBA member who is awaiting admission to the New York State bar.
