He first-chaired multiple civil jury trials, obtained defense verdicts, and managed cases through every stage of litigation.

Earlier in his career, Jamal served as a criminal defense attorney with The Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, representing clients from arraignment through jury trial and securing favorable outcomes. His combined criminal and civil trial experience provides a practical courtroom perspective that continues to inform his litigation strategy and advocacy.
