James Marshall is an accomplished litigation attorney who represents businesses and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation, with a primary focus on defending claims involving construction accidents, premises liability, and general liability. His practice also encompasses a broad spectrum of other legal areas, including commercial litigation, employment discrimination, long-term care, medical malpractice, and cybersecurity.

James has successfully defended complex, high-exposure matters for clients ranging from major health care institutions to multibillion-dollar, publicly traded corporations. He has extensive experience managing multijurisdictional litigation, overseeing local counsel, and coordinating national defense strategies.

Before joining Wilson Elser, James served as a partner at an AMLAW 200 firm, where he acted as primary defense counsel for a leading real-estate investment trust, litigating claims across the country related to premises liability, long-term care, construction accidents, and other high-stakes matters.
