Jared Kopito represents public- and private-sector clients in all aspects of civil litigation with an emphasis on mitigating and managing risk. His practice focuses on the defense of various complex tort and personal injury claims. In addition, Jared handles claims involving New York State Labor Law disputes, employing a holistic approach in assessing not only the general liability claim but also the workers’ compensation risk and exposure to mitigate and contain costs for clients.
Prior to joining Wilson Elser as an associate, Jared was an intern at the firm. During law school, he gained substantial knowledge about tort litigation through various internships at boutique New York personal injury firms. Jared’s plaintiff-side exposure enables him to anticipate plaintiffs’ arguments in crafting effective defense strategies.
