Outside of work, Jean and her husband enjoy spending time with their award-winning goats, mini horses, chickens, and turkeys on their small farm in Bethany, Connecticut.

While Jean is well versed in litigation, she has handled resolution of numerous cases outside the courtroom through mediation or arbitration. In a recent case, a Superior Court judge called her defense of the claim "masterful" and noted that through preparation and careful review of the plaintiff's medical records, she was able to bring a claim to resolution for a fraction of the demand.
