James DeSantis is an experienced civil litigator who defends businesses, insurers, and individuals in complex civil disputes throughout all phases of litigation. His practice encompasses general liability, automobile liability, premises liability, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, negligent security, maritime, aviation, commercial disputes, and real estate litigation.

James has defended more than 100 civil actions involving high-exposure claims and complex legal issues. He counsels clients from the earliest stages of a dispute through resolution, guiding them through pre-suit investigations, case evaluation, discovery, dispositive motion practice, mediation, trial, and appeal.

In addition to his litigation practice, James has served as counsel in the mortgage industry, advising on corporate compliance, regulatory matters, and risk management. Drawing on that experience, he provides practical, business-focused legal strategies tailored to each client’s objectives.
