Kate Montgomery represents established businesses and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation. Her practice focuses primarily on complex litigation involving intellectual property disputes, business disputes, and complex tort matters. Kate also effectively handles general liability, transportation, and professional liability matters.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Kate worked for a global leader in e-Discovery management solutions, where she gained extensive experience conducting e-Discovery for a wide range of industries, including health care insurance and industrial materials. Previously, she was a class action client services project specialist, assisting with the administration, legal compliance, and financial stewardship of class action settlements. She also practiced at an intellectual property firm in Tempe, Arizona, where she honed her trademark and copyright litigation skills.

During law school, Kate was an editor of the Law Journal for Social Justice. Her volunteer work assisting local artists with intellectual property and business organization issues earned Kate the highest distinction recognition for pro bono service. Additionally, Kate gained valuable experience through externships with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Arizona Department of Education, and a boutique intellectual property law firm. Outside of work, Kate volunteers with HandsOn Greater Phoenix, a nonprofit volunteer management organization.
