Kathryn Banks advises insurance carriers, including several major national carriers, on a diverse range of matters. Her practice focuses on claims analysis and defense litigation. Additionally, Kathryn has effectively handled a number of coverage matters, including property-related claims. She brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to resolving complex insurance issues.
Before joining Wilson Elser, Kathryn worked in mergers and acquisitions at two international firms in Chicago, Illinois, where she gained valuable experience counseling business clients, interpreting regulatory requirements, and drafting and negotiating contractual language. In law school, Kathryn honed her legal research and writing skills working on The University of Chicago Legal Forum, one of the law school’s scholarly journals.
