Kurt Siegal is an experienced trial attorney who counsels and represents clients in all phases of litigation. He handles a broad range of complex commercial matters, including shareholder derivative actions, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and related business torts.

Before joining Wilson Elser, Kurt served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois (N.D. Ill.), overseeing federal criminal investigations and representing the United States in federal court in the N.D. Ill. Before that, he served as a judge advocate (JAG) in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps, representing the U.S. government in trial-level and appellate litigation.

Kurt continues to serve as a JAG in the U.S. Navy Reserve, focusing on criminal investigations and representing the military in employment termination hearings.
