Daniel Tranen (Partner-Edwardsville) and Lori Semlies (Partner-White Plains) will present an August 12, 2020, webinar to The Hartford and Lockton Companies on using state and federal statutes and executive orders to defeat claims against health care professionals arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic. Daniel will present on using the federal PREP Act to preempt and secure immunity so long as the claims involve covered countermeasures. Lori will discuss the evolution of state orders and statutes that provide protections where the PREP Act is not activated.
