Lori Rosen Semlies

Lori Semlies (Partner-White Plains, NY) will moderate a panel titled “How Dobbs Has Changed Emergency Medicine and IVF” at the Crittenden Medical Liability Conference 2025, to be held April 7–9, 2025, in Miami, Florida. The 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson decision removed the constitutional right to abortion, allowing states to restrict or ban the procedure. Today, abortion is prohibited in 13 states. This panel takes a look at how Dobbs has reshaped emergency medical practice, IVF treatments, and the ethical, legal, and clinical challenges that health care providers face in this post-Dobbs era.
