Matthew Marcoly represents established businesses and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation with an emphasis on catastrophic personal injury and general liability defense. He handles all phases of litigation, including negotiating favorable pre-litigation resolutions, as well as managing discovery, depositions, law and motion, mediation, and trial. Matthew works closely with insurance adjusters, corporate clients, and in-house counsel to develop effective litigation and settlement strategies. He has successfully resolved numerous matters through persuasive dispositive motions and has obtained many favorable outcomes through skillfully negotiated settlements.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Matthew worked at an Orange County civil litigation firm, where he gained valuable experience in trial preparation and handling cases from the early stages of mediation to trial. During law school, Matthew participated in the International Justice Clinic, working closely on a project with the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression.
