Prior to becoming an associate at Wilson Elser, Mattie had a year-long clerkship with the firm during law school. In that role, she gained valuable experience in a wide range of cybersecurity and data privacy matters and honed her communication and advocacy skills assisting with client support.
Before pursuing her legal career, Mattie worked in research technology, where she developed firsthand knowledge regarding the risks and regulations surrounding data protection. This experience piqued her interest in data privacy and led her to pursue a master's degree in Cybersecurity Risk Management at Georgetown University.
