McKinney Brown is a civil litigator representing private security contractors and commercial properties against a wide range of claims including negligent security, negligent supervision, and hiring and retention practices. These cases often involve high-exposure assaults, shootings and other intentional torts with significant media coverage. McKinney oversees all aspects of litigation from pre-suit to trial.
McKinney began his career as an attorney for the City of New York, representing the City and its agencies in cases involving premises liability, wrongful death, negligent supervision and investigation, governmental immunity, false arrest and excessive force. In this capacity, he served as lead counsel in more than two dozen trials in New York County.
