Megan Iocco practices in the area of general liability and casualty law, defending premises liability matters and personal injury claims. She determines likely exposure, identifies strategies, and ultimately seeks quick and cost-effective resolutions.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Megan worked at a New York firm practicing insurance fraud law. Previously, she served as an Assistant District Attorney for four years where she was assigned to the Domestic Violence Bureau, Appeals Bureau and Felony Trial Bureau. In that role, Megan prosecuted and investigated a wide array of felony cases and handled the prosecution of these cases from arrest to sentencing, including investigations, grand jury presentations, and hearings and trials. She also served as a rider for the Special Victims Bureau where she drafted search warrants, responded to serious sex crimes and interviewed witnesses shortly after the crime.

Areas of Focus

Insurance Fraud Law
Megan has helped insurers prosecute civil lawsuits under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, including insurer claim payments to physicians, medical clinics, attorneys and others involved in complex, large-scale insurance fraud schemes.

Appellate
While in the Appeals Bureau as an Assistant District Attorney, Megan drafted numerous briefs and participated in oral arguments before the Appellate Term and the Appellate Division, Second Department.
