Miranda Nutt represents individuals and businesses in a broad range of civil litigation. Her practice focuses on the defense of claims related to professional liability, malpractice, and motor vehicle incidents. Miranda’s clients include property management companies, officers and directors, and other specialty professions. Her diverse background and work experience enables her to adopt creative defense strategies to achieve favorable results for clients.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Miranda was a tax attorney intern at a Big Four global accounting firm, where she gained substantial transactional experience assisting the contracts, tax, and mergers and acquisitions teams. Previously, she gained knowledge and perspective on plaintiff-side litigation and defense work in various law clerk roles. In addition to law firm experience, Miranda practiced in-house for two Fortune 500 companies, acquiring insight into various clients and their specific needs.

During law school, Miranda was a research assistant and earned a Leadership Project certification. She completed the Mirza Trial Academy, an intensive trial skills course. In addition, Miranda is well versed in employment law and has extensive knowledge of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), receiving highest honors from Emory University for her published thesis entitled, “Parental Leave and Gender Equality in the United States: An Analysis of Paid Leave at Fortune 500 Companies.”
