New Jersey Law Journal Features Kevin Donovan Article on Recent Decision on Curtailing Time for Filing Employment Claims

New Jersey Law Journal

November 3, 2014

Kevin C. Donovan (Partner-New Jersey) authored an article in the November 3, 2014, issue of New Jersey Law Journal that covered the New Jersey Appellate Division’s recent decision concerning the time frame in which employees can sue an employer for perceived violations of their rights. In contrast to the normal two-year standard provided by statute, the court ruled in favor of an employer’s contention that its ex-employee only had six months to file any employment-related claims because the employee had agreed to that limit. “Court Upholds Contracts Curtailing the Time for Filing Employment Claims” chronicles how the court reached that decision and what might be in store for employers as the plaintiffs’ bar mobilizes in an effort to overturn it.
