Connecticut Law Tribune Publishes Article on Bad Faith Claims by Del Gatto, Niederer and Reich

On February 13, 2012, the Connecticut Law Tribune published an article entitled, “Avoiding Claim of Procedural Bad Faith: What carriers need to know during review and determination process,” by Brian Del Gatto (Partner-Connecticut) and Eric Niederer (Of Counsel-Connecticut). The article addresses whether or not an insurance claims representatives can be sued for bad faith when there is no breach of the insurance policy, as well as presents some best practices to follow to avoid these claims.

Mr. Del Gatto is the managing partner of Wilson Elser’s Connecticut office and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. His core emphasis is on surface transportation matters and general corporate defense litigation. Mr. Niederer’s practice focuses on health-care liability, product liability, catastrophic injury and high-exposure matters.
