September 23, 2011
Anjali Das (Partner-Chicago) weighed in on the Business Insurance article entitled, “Directors and officers lawsuits increase for midsize firms,” that ran on September 20, 2011, and continues to be available online. The article examined the growing number of lawsuits filed against directors and officers of mid-market companies and the reasons for these suits. Ms. Das commented on the correlation between the state of the economy, coupled with the surplus of cash many companies have, and the trajectory of these suits.

Ms. Das's practice focuses on professional liability insurance coverage matters, including representing the interests of domestic and foreign primary and excess insurers in connection with high exposure claims and class actions against public companies and their directors and officers, financial institutions, investment banks, insurance companies, and ERISA plan fiduciaries. She regularly speaks and writes on directors and officers liability issues.
